The Bookwalter Urology Retractor System is a complete table-mounted self-retaining retractor set for abdominal and flank urological procedures. A 12″ field post, post coupler and 1″ horizontal flex bar support two segmented rings (10½″ × 19″ and 8½″ × 14″) with eight tilt ratchet mechanisms. Malleable, Kelly, vaginal lateral and renal Wylie blades are included in a sterilization box.
Product Description
The Bookwalter Urology Retractor System is a table-mounted self-retaining retractor set designed to provide stable, hands-free exposure during abdominal and flank approaches to the kidneys, ureters, bladder and retroperitoneal urological structures. The Bookwalter Urology Retractor System mounts to the operating table with a 12″ (30.5 cm) field post, a standard post coupler and a 1″ (2.5 cm) diameter horizontal flex bar.
Two segmented rings are supplied — 10½″ × 19″ (26.7 × 48.3 cm) and 8½″ × 14″ (21.6 × 35.6 cm) — so the frame can be matched to the incision and the patient. Eight multi-angle tilt ratchet mechanisms secure the blades to the ring and allow retraction depth and blade angle to be set independently.
Retraction hardware covers deep and superficial exposures: 2″ × 6″ and 1½″ × 6″ malleable blades, Kelly blades in 1″ × 2½″, 1″ × 1½″ and 2″ × 2½″ sizes, three 1″ × 3″ vaginal lateral blades and a 1″ × 7″ renal Wylie blade. All components are manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and supplied in a sterilization box.
The Bookwalter Urology Retractor System is supplied non-sterile, is reusable and fully autoclavable, and must be cleaned and sterilized according to your facility's validated procedures before use. Retractor Maker manufactures and supplies the set directly from Sialkot, Pakistan.
