Urology Retractors

Urology retractors are built for deep, narrow exposure in the pelvis and retroperitoneum. Blade length and curvature matter more here than overall frame size, since the working depth is often greater than the incision width.

Our urology configurations combine a ring frame with longer bladed retractors suited to prostatectomy, nephrectomy and open bladder procedures.

Components are interchangeable with our general surgery systems, so a department running both can share rings, posts and clamps across sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a urology retractor different?

Blade geometry. Urological exposure is typically deep and narrow, so the blades are longer and more curved than the wider blades used for general abdominal work.
