Condyle Retractor

The Condyle Retractor is a solid one-piece instrument, so its performance comes from blade geometry and handle ergonomics. The working blade is specified as 8 mm × 27 mm ($44.00) or 10 mm × 44 mm ($49.00), which spreads retraction force over a wider contact area and reduces point pressure on tissue. The handle is ergonomic flat handle with finger contours for fatigue-free manual leverage, giving a secure, fatigue-resistant grip through long exposures. An overall length of 21 cm (approx. 8.25 inches) keeps the surgeon's hand clear of the operative field. It is made from surgical-grade stainless steel (aisi 304/410) for glare-free, corrosion-resistant service.

The Condyle Retractor is used in maxillofacial surgery to hook around the mandibular condylar neck, retracting the masseter muscle and pterygomandibular sling to expose the ramus for osteotomy.

It is indicated for sagittal split ramus osteotomy (SSRO), vertical ramus osteotomy (IVRO), subcondylar fracture open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthroplasty.

The instrument is forged from high-grade surgical stainless steel with an anti-glare satin matte finish that eliminates optical reflections under intraoral lighting and headlights.
