The Goelet Retractor is a solid one-piece instrument, so its performance comes from blade geometry and handle ergonomics. The working blade is specified as 38 mm wide blade on one end and 45 mm wide blade on the opposite end, which spreads retraction force over a wider contact area and reduces point pressure on tissue. The handle is solid flat central handle contoured for fatigue-free manual grip, giving a secure, fatigue-resistant grip through long exposures. An overall length of 18.5 cm (approx. 7.3 inches) keeps the surgeon's hand clear of the operative field. It is made from surgical-grade stainless steel (aisi 304/410) for glare-free, corrosion-resistant service.
