The complete system includes 2 operating table rail clamps, 2 table side bars (26″), 1 table cross bar (21″), 1 Rochard mechanical fixation device, and 3 broad abdominal blades measuring 50 × 90 mm, 50 × 105 mm, and 50 × 120 mm inside protective transit packaging.

The Rochard Retractor is a table-mounted abdominal retractor engineered to lift and suspend the anterior abdominal wall and costal margin. By clamping across both table side rails and utilizing a mechanical tension screw, it produces powerful upward and outward retraction, freeing surgical assistants and opening deep operative cavities.

This retractor is primarily indicated for upper abdominal and hepatobiliary interventions, including cholecystectomy, open liver resections, gastric bypass, gastrectomy, diaphragmatic hernia repairs, and radical upper pelvic or gynecological operations.

Every structural bar, clamp, and blade is manufactured from medical-grade surgical stainless steel, offering high tensile strength under heavy mechanical leverage. All surfaces feature a smooth satin matte finish that absorbs harsh surgical operating lights and prevents visual glare.

Yes. The entire Rochard Retractor set is 100% reusable and fully validated for standard steam autoclave sterilization cycles (pre-vacuum steam at 134°C / 273°F). The fixation device and rail clamps should be unthreaded and cleaned thoroughly prior to autoclaving.

Yes. Individual replacement parts—including specific 50 mm wide blade depths, replacement cross bars, side uprights, rail clamps, and fixation screw assemblies—can be purchased separately as open-stock items without reordering the entire frame.
