Alar Retractor

The Alar Retractor is a solid one-piece instrument, so its performance comes from blade geometry and handle ergonomics. The working blade is specified as 22 mm wide × 13 mm long contoured curved blade, which spreads retraction force over a wider contact area and reduces point pressure on tissue. The handle is flat grooved handle for steady non-slip grip, giving a secure, fatigue-resistant grip through long exposures. An overall length of 15 cm (approx. 6 inches) keeps the surgeon's hand clear of the operative field. It is made from surgical-grade stainless steel (aisi 304/410) for glare-free, corrosion-resistant service.

The Alar Retractor is used to retract and elevate the alar cartilage, nostril rim, and overlying cutaneous tissue, providing clear exposure of the nasal vestibule and lower lateral cartilages during rhinoplasty.

It is indicated for open and closed rhinoplasty, septoplasty, nasal valve reconstruction, cleft lip nasal correction, and nasal vestibule mass excisions.
