Fomon Retractor

The Fomon Retractor is a solid one-piece instrument, so its performance comes from blade geometry and handle ergonomics. The working blade is specified as 5 mm wide × 10 mm long smooth ball-tip profile, which spreads retraction force over a wider contact area and reduces point pressure on tissue. The handle is ergonomic flat handle with lateral serrations for tactile micro-control, giving a secure, fatigue-resistant grip through long exposures. An overall length of 17 cm (6.7 inches) keeps the surgeon's hand clear of the operative field. It is made from surgical-grade stainless steel (aisi 304/410) & optional non-conductive polymer coating for glare-free, corrosion-resistant service.

The Fomon Retractor is used in rhinoplasty to hook and elevate the nostril rim, columella, and lower lateral cartilage, providing clear visualization of the nasal vestibule and septum.

It is indicated for primary open rhinoplasty, closed endonasal rhinoplasty, septoplasty, alar base resection, tip plasty, and nasal trauma reconstruction.

The instrument is forged from premium surgical-grade stainless steel with an anti-glare satin matte finish; the insulated version features a specialized, heat-resistant dielectric non-conductive coating.
