The Lobster Anterior Lumbar Retractor is a table-mounted self-retaining retractor engineered to safely mobilize and retract the peritoneum, great vessels (aorta and vena cava), and abdominal viscera away from the anterior lumbar spine during operative access.

This retractor system is indicated for Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF), anterior lumbar disc replacement (arthroplasty), corpectomy, anterior spinal tumor resection, and retroperitoneal reconstructive spine procedures.

Components are manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and high-tensile alloys to resist bending under deep cavity leverage. Surfaces feature a glare-free satin finish to eliminate reflection from surgical headlights and microscopes.

Yes. The entire Lobster Anterior Lumbar Retractor system is fully reusable and validated for standard pre-vacuum steam autoclave cycles (134°C / 273°F). Clamps and swivel mechanisms should be opened before cleaning and sterilization.
