The Bookwalter StrongArm System is a table-mounted, self-retaining surgical retractor engineered to provide steady, hands-free exposure of deep operative fields. By anchoring directly to the operating table rails and locking blades under mechanical counter-traction, it eliminates assistant muscle fatigue and prevents tissue slip during long procedures.

This system is indicated for general laparotomy, deep pelvic, vascular and gynecological procedures, including colectomy, liver resection, radical prostatectomy and organ transplants.

Every component is manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel. All surfaces are treated with a non-reflective satin finish to suppress glare under intense operating room lighting.

Yes. The entire Bookwalter StrongArm System is 100% reusable and fully validated for standard steam autoclave sterilization cycles (pre-vacuum steam at 134°C / 273°F). All mechanical clamps, ratchets and joint connections should be loosened or disassembled prior to cleaning and autoclaving.
